London Paralympic Tennis Event to be played on DecoTurf
Andover, MA – The organizers of the 2012 London Paralympic Tennis Event have chosen DecoColor as the new tennis court surface. The event will take place September 1-8 at Eton Manor, north of the London Olympic Park.
The new tennis venue at Eton Manor was the only facility constructed specifically for this year’s Paralympic Games, as the Olympic Tennis Events were played on grass courts. The brand new 10,500 seat venue features three show courts, nine competition courts and four practice courts.
The singles and doubles events will include 112 players from 31 countries competing for six gold medals. Esther Vergeer of the Netherlands is the top seed in the women’s singles as Shingo Kunieda of Japan will aim to keep his men’s singles title against France’s Stephane Houdet.

DecoTurf the Surface of the Rogers Cup
Andover, MA – DecoTurf is proud to announce its cushioned tennis surface is once again the surface of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank ATP tournament in Toronto and WTA tour in Montreal.
The Rogers Cup is the latest stop on the prestigious Emirates US Open Series. The men’s 1000-level ATP tournament, features many of the world’s top players including the 10-time Masters Champion Novak Djokovic.
The 2012 ATP Masters 1000 event is held August 4th- 12th at the Rexall Centre of York University in Toronto.
On the women’s side, eleven of WTAs top twelve players entered into the main draw of the Rogers Cup, which begins on Tuesday at Uniprix Stadium in Montreal. Maria Sharapova, Caroline Wozniacki, and Ana Ivanovic make up a few of the top seeds.

DecoTurf Chosen as Surface for the Citi Open
Andover, MA – The Citi Open, formerly the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, has chosen DecoTurf as the official surface for the prestigious ATP and WTA events.
The Citi Open, hosted annually at the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center in the heart of Washington DC, has been played on DecoColor, by the makers of DecoTurf, since 2003. The tournament will take place July 28th through August 5th and will be televised on both ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel as part of the exciting summer-long Emirates Airline US Open Series.
